Jose Maria Porto was born in Valencia, Spain. At the age of five, his parents moved to Argentina and it was there that he began his musical studies. He was a child prodigy with the piano and began performing professionally at a very young age.

His art has been strongly influenced by the rhythms of such rich and varied cultures from his travels throughout Europe, South America, the USA and his native Spain, which is where he lives now with his wife Gabrielle.  He enjoys performing with an orchestra, but also performs alone. 

He is a composer and his passion for music leads him to continually create.  Jose is now working on his eighth CD.
